Among its flagship attractions are Bunratty Castle & Folk Park in Clare, and King John’s Castle in Limerick which it owns and manages. Its footprint has grown over the years and it now manages a number of visitor experiences in Dublin: Malahide Castle and Gardens, Newbridge House and Farm, the GPO Witness History Museum, and in 2019 it added the Casino Model Railway Museum in Malahide, Co. Dublin to its portfolio. It also has interests at the world-famous Cliffs of Moher with an award winning retail outlet.

Shannon Heritage has seen significant growth with the number of visitors to its attractions more than doubling since 2013 to reach 963,000 in 2019. The ability of Shannon Heritage to attract visitors to the region is an important driver for the tourism sector, which is a key employer for our rural economies. As well as being a direct employer, the company also stimulates spin-off benefits for a range of service sector businesses across the region. The success of Shannon Heritage has been a major driver of the Irish tourism sector, generating 256,000 bed nights in 2016, a 28% increase since 2014.
