Former Mid-west IDA Manager takes chief role at Shannon Heritage

Niall O’Callaghan begins in his new role as Managing Director of Shannon Heritage this week, joining Ireland’s largest operator of visitor attractions following a successful period as Regional Manager for the Mid-West at IDA Ireland.

experience across all Shannon Heritage sites while safeguarding our responsibilities to our trustees. As operators of some of Ireland’s leading visitor attractions, we are in an enviable position where we have the power to positively affect the overall experience of visitors to this country.”

Shannon Heritage operates 7 day visitor experiences and 4 evening entertainments across Ireland, including the world renowned Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, with its medieval banquets, King John’s Castle, GPO Witness History and Malahide Castle.

Limerick native and UL graduate O’Callaghan has also previously held senior account management roles at Unilever, the world’s largest consumer goods company, as well as being appointed the youngest board member of ECR (Efficient Consumer Response) Ireland and Limerick Institute of Technology’s Research, Enterprise and Development advisory board.

He has also served as a member of the Clare Economic Advisory Group and the Tipperary Economic Forum and as a former mentor with Enactus Ireland. Niall is a keen sportsman and a former Irish international athlete.
