At Shannon Group, our reputation and integrity are essential to building a successful organisation. Every day, our beliefs and practices showcase our commitment to our customers, community, staff, and the wider world too.
Every year, staff from right across our group choose two charities to fundraise for, over the course of that year. We are proud to report that we have raised over €350,000 since the programme began in 2013.
Fostering a Volunteer Culture
We understand that finding the time to volunteer within your community can be difficult. Both at local and national level, we encourage our colleagues from all companies and divisions within our group to volunteer and engage with communities and specific projects.
Even when people are determined to help out and really make a change in their community, funding can be an issue. We understand this and on many occasions, have been very happy to sponsor appropriate volunteering events held right across our local region.
Environmental awareness is an active element of our overall CSR programme. From waste re-cycling, prioritising paper-free communications, and elimination of paper cups right through to being a stakeholder in Future Mobility Campus Ireland’s autonomous driving initiatives, we have policies in place with the environment firmly in mind.
Maintaining Internal CSR
Within the group, we have comprehensive procedures and practices in place which ensure all colleagues and team members are treated fairly and ethically. Every staff member throughout our Group is also actively encouraged and empowered to engage with our overall CSR ethos.
